My diary on Diversity & Inclusion

We are all liars. Every day we give away bits of ourselves to fit in, to be accepted, or even to be loved. As a long-time owner of a personal diary, I realised that friends and family would have seen me in a completely new light if they had read even a few pages of it. Would they have still accepted and loved me? We don't lie to our diary about who we really are.

About

Not even one is a space to think, reflect, learn about, create, and reinvent diversity and inclusion. Everyone is welcome to enter, share a story or a lived experience with the community, or share an artistic work that celebrates the great diversity of our world. In turn, we provide wider resources, trainings, and workshops on contemporary issues around diversity!

What we stand for

Race equality

As humans, we differ by only 0.1% in our genetic makeup. Nevertheless, racism is globally widespread and on the rise in our days. Every day, an unlucky proportion of the population pays for that 0.1% difference with discrimination, maltreatment, and worsened life and working conditions.

Gender equality

Women's rights have made a big step forward since the feminist movements sparked in the 19th century. Two centuries later, women continue to be victims of violence and discrimination, and struggle to be taken seriously at work. Their bodies are denigrated and their abilities denied.

Disability rights

Having a disability and being disabled are different stories. However, their difference can be very subtle in our society. Many argue that disability is a mere form of diversity and is considered a deficit only because society is not adequately organised for their special needs. So what is really disability? Individual difficulty or a collective limitation?

LGBTQ+ Rights

Gay rights have evolved significantly in the last 50 years. Today, LGBTQ+ people are still discriminated against, persecuted, and victims of violence in many parts of the world.

Freedom

What type of freedom, you may ask? Well, to me, there is only one type of freedom, the absolute one. Freedom of expression, freedom of choosing your path, freedom of loving who you want, In many cases, freedom can be allowed by our society, while in others, freedom is inside our minds.
